Charity Awards

JLGB's NCS programme in 2018 will aim to build upon the enormous success of our previous year's multi award winning programmes. In addition to providing 90 young people with an exciting range of adventure activities, professional guidance in developing new skills and the fantastic opportunity to create and deliver their very own social action projects, the 2012 programme has also twice been recognised nationally for its successes.

The programme has received two national awards, the first of which was in the Children and Youth Category at the national Charity Awards 2013. Selected from hundreds of entries, it was commended for bringing young people of different faiths and no faith together and removing many of the barriers often faced by young people of different cultural communities and backgrounds. The second award, bestowed for similar reasons, was presented at the Children & Young People Now Awards 2013. Various areas of success were highlighted at both ceremonies, including the fact that while before the programme only 25 per cent of participants said they had more than 10 friends of a different faith to their own, by the end of the programme 92 per cent said they had well over 10 friends of different faiths.

We are very proud to have won these two highly prestigious awards and we can't wait for you to join us!
