Jewish Lads’ & Girls’ Brigade (JLGB) volunteer leaders are the best and to enforce this, an Awards evening was held at Kaifeng Restaurant where they were honoured for their selfless and generous commitment to JLGB.
Amongst the Awards presented was a Special Award to Joanne and Norman Zinger from Glasgow for their “Outstanding contribution to JLGB and its Leaders”. Jo and Norry, as they like to be called, have been a major factor in the success of JLGB in Glasgow and are very highly thought of throughout JLGB.
The prestigious Leader of the Year Award went to Linda Leveney, Leader of the very successful Borehamwood JLGB Companies. Linda thoroughly deserved the Award as did the other Leaders Award winners which included: Samuel Gerson for the Best Newcomer Award and to Young Leaders of the Year, Nicole Gold and Steven Weller.
JLGB Chief Executive, Neil Martin said: “All our volunteer leaders are highly thought of throughout JLGB and the wider community. They deserve all the praise given for the tireless and unending service to our organisation. Without these tremendous people, hundreds of Jewish youngsters would not be able to take part in the many unique activities and opportunities that JLGB offer.”
