The JLGB has recently been going through some exciting changes to help better meet the needs and support local Jewish communities and Leeds JLGB is no exception.
The new and enthusiastic team of staff is lead by Paul Task, who was in the original Leeds JLGB as a boy, and is supported by 8 students studying at Leeds University from all over the UK.
The new team will ensure the group get the most out of their weekly meetings and will encourage all members to take part in as many of the other activities and events that JLGB offer throughout the year including the new Enterprise Award. Over two years in making, this cutting edge achievement and personal development programme is designed to meet the needs of today’s generation of young Jewish children, as well as aligning it with the needs of the Jewish and wider community, and it is mapped to the Government Department for Children Schools and families’ “Every Child Matters” Agenda.
Antony Grace, JLGB’s National Movement worker, visited children at Brodetsky Jewish Primary School to promote the new groups (Juniors 8 -10 and Seniors 11-16) and they enjoyed watching the new JLGB promotional video telling them about all the exciting activities they can get involved with.
Leeds JLGB already has 17 keen members but there is plenty of room for more. If you are interested, contact Paul Task on 0113 294 4535.
All in all it’s a hugely exciting time to get involved with the JLGB this year the JLGB will be celebrating its 115th Anniversary so why not give Leeds JLGB a try!!!
