JLGB REPRESENTED BY LIZZY LEIGH ON TS PETCHEY’S MAIDEN VOYAGE DOWN THE THAMES

One of JLGB’s outstanding Achievement Award winner’s Lizzy Leigh was delighted to represent The Jewish Lads’ & Girls’ Brigade on the maiden voyage down the Thames of TS Jack Petchey. The event was to mark the close of the Jack Petchey Foundation's tenth anniversary year and to celebrate the £7million donated to uniformed groups by the Jack Petchey Foundation.

Jack Petchey Achievement Awards are given for many reasons and Lizzy received hers in recognition of her outstanding commitment to JLGB and to JLGB Hendon Band. Lizzy has suggested that the grant be spent on musical instruments and towards an outing for everyone in the Band.

Lizzy thoroughly enjoyed the experience and said: “It was an honour to be invited to represent JLGB and to join Jack Petchey and all the other uniformed groups on the TS Petchey to celebrate the 10th Anniversary. I really enjoy giving back to the Brigade as a leader, having been a member since the age of 11 - it’s a great youth organisation”.
