JLGB DONATIONS
THE YOUTH OF TODAY ARE OUR FUTURE - CAN YOU HELP SUPPORT THE WORK OF THE JLGB?
JLGB FACTS - DID YOU KNOW?
The JLGB is the UK's oldest Jewish Youth Organisation and was founded in 1895, 112 years ago.
This year the Brigade awarded more than £20,000 in Welfare Grants, so that young Jewish children could attend JLGB leadership training weekends and annual camps.
The Brigade spends more than £27,000 each year to hire local premises for JLGB groups to meet each week around the UK.
Over £80,000 is spent each and every year on organising and providing activities, sports and training.
The JLGB is the only Jewish Operating Authority for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, which is held in high esteem by universities and employers. Award activities, together with our weekends away and annual camps, require the JLGB to constantly update and replace tents, marquees, rucksacks and cooking utensils used by the hundreds of Award participants and summer campers each and every year.
The JLGB is the only Jewish organisation offering young people with no previous experience the opportunity to learn basic musical skills and, thereafter, continue training to become advanced musicians. Instruments cost the JLGB between £200 and £1,500 each and the fees for professional music instructors are £30 per hour.
